Adventure Mobile – Mobil 1 / Chevrolet Performance Silverado debuts at Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring

Chevrolet Performance has teamed up with Mobil 1 to build a real life Adventure Mobile to showcase the performance, functionality and practicality of the all new Chevrolet Silverado. This project vehicle started as a concept with the Austin Hatcher Foundation to help bring awareness to the foundation’s efforts through charitable appearances at local children’s hospitals throughout the 2015 Tudor United SportsCar Championship season. The  Mobil 1 / Chevrolet Performance Silverado has been christened as an “Adventure Mobile” which means it was built for exploring, adventure embarking, towing project vehicles, and for crossing territory that has never felt the footprint of man.

While not traversing the wilderness, this Adventure Mobile will also live a double life in the cities it travels to – much like the factory Silverado was designed for. The main objective at each stop of its tour will be in providing Diversionary Therapy for children with cancer through the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.

The Mobil 1 / Chevrolet Performance Silverado will debut during the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for families to take a parade lap around the famous turns of the historic Sebring International Raceway.

“We are extremely honored to be working with Mobil 1 and Chevrolet Performance on this journey and are very proud to be showcasing this project at Austin Hatcher Foundation events across the nation,” says Amy Jo Osborn, Co-Founder of Austin Hatcher Foundation. “This Adventure Mobile is going to bring smiles to so many children with cancer, allowing them the opportunity to just be a kid.”

The Austin Hatcher Foundation is one of the two Proud Charities of IMSA and the official charity of Goodguys Rod and Custom Association.  The Mobil 1 / Chevrolet Performance Silverado will make its way across the country traveling to different events including IMSA, Goodguys and Hot Rod Power Tour. As the vehicle travels to each event, the Austin Hatcher Foundation will be stopping to visit numerous children in the local children’s hospitals, while providing specialized activities known as Diversionary Therapy.
