The 12th Annual Tour de Road America BIKE RIDE TO FIGHT CANCER is once again coming to the sweeping turns and hills of Elkhart Lake’s beautiful and historic Road America race track on Friday, August 8 at approximately 6:00 P.M. in support of the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.
The Tour de Road America is a family-friendly bicycle ride that makes use of the safe and scenic Road America race course. After auto racing is done for the day, drivers from the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge will join team members, series personnel, families, friends, fans, local cyclists, and cancer survivors for a fun ride on the track. Each lap of Road America is 4.0 miles, and you can ride one lap, or ride until track officials declare it’s “too dark to ride.” Top cyclists can probably get in up to 40 miles.
In addition to the ride, the event features a silent auction of cycling gear and motorsports memorabilia, local items, and more in the Tour deRoad America HQ located in the Road America Midway … all of which is surrounded by the excitement of the most elite sports car racing in the United States featuring some of the top drivers in the world. Nowhere else will you see the likes of Cannondale and Corvette, Specialized and SRT, or Bianchi and BMW, all in one place.
