Vehicle to be modified by pediatric cancer patients and families as part of STEM-based industrial arts therapy

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Dec. 19, 2019) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer has added another set of wheels to its collection of therapy vehicles. After the recent theft of two therapy vehicles in October, the foundation received an incredible response from the automotive community. One partner to step up and aid in the foundation’s recovery is Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA).
The newly donated ROXOR off-road vehicle was unveiled on December 18 at the Austin Hatcher Foundation’s Education Advancement Center. MANA’s Service Aftersales Director Justin Prann and VP of Marketing Richard Ansel presented the ROXOR to foundation staff members President Amy Jo Osborn and Director of Industrial Arts Jonathan Myren.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Dec. 17, 2019) – After the devastating theft and destruction of two therapy vehicles in October 2019, it seemed like the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer might not make it to the January 2020 Leake Auto Auction where the two therapy vehicles were to be auctioned to raise much-needed funds.
However, hope was on the horizon again when the Mauzy family from Midland, Texas offered to contribute initial funds needed to begin another therapy build project. The new concept is the 2020 Gladiator Rubicon IASO, named after the Greek goddess of cures, remedies, and modes of healing.
