Hours: This is a part-time, paid internship. Intern may work up to 16 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and will be established based on student’s internship requirements and Foundation hours of operation.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer’s mission is to provide a lifetime of free, comprehensive support to pediatric cancer patients and their families through mental, behavioral, educational, and social services, so they can cope in the present and thrive in the future. The Foundation provides these services through its Education Advancement Center in Chattanooga, TN, as well as virtually, all at no cost to families. Services are funded solely by the generous donations of its supporters.
We are seeking a Marketing Intern with strong communication and creative skills to assist with our marketing efforts, focused on fundraising events and brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to promote the Foundation's mission and engage the community in our work.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media: Create engaging and educational content for the Foundation’s social media platforms
- Content Creation: Assist the Marketing Team with the planning, executing, and tracking of engaging content for consistent release across various channels, including social media, email, press, and paid media.
- Brand Awareness: Promote the company’s vision and create awareness for the Foundation while learning and adhering to Foundation Brand Guidelines
- Research and Strategy: Research current trends and make suggestions for the Foundation’s marketing & social media presence
- Campaign Planning: Assist in creating marketing materials and campaigns for fundraising events
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Currently accepting applications for Fall 2025 Term (8/25/25 - 12/5/25)
- This is a paid, in-person internship located at our Education Advancement Center.
- Hours are flexible based on availability.
- Preference given to applicants available to work 12+ hours per week
- Enrolled in an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills throughout in-person meetings and online
- Positive attitude and passion for the Austin Hatcher Foundation’s mission of supporting pediatric cancer families
- Ability to function and perform multiple tasks for various events + marketing strategies on a daily basis
- Valid driver's license to drive as needed to meetings
