Annual ‘Hatch’s Giving Tree’ Holiday Season Initiative Ongoing, To Benefit Austin Hatcher Foundation
  • Area Businesses Supporting Foundation
  • Initiative Running Through New Year’s Eve

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Nov. 14, 2018) – Businesses in the Chattanooga area once again are collectively providing happy holidays for the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, with the annual “Hatch’s Giving Tree” initiative to assist the organization.

Each year, participating businesses display Christmas trees with ornaments that have notes regarding various items needed by the foundation. Customers choose an ornament, purchase the item noted – and return it to the business. The Austin Hatcher Foundation then picks up the items at the businesses after the holidays. The supplies support the foundation’s office functions along with the many innovative services and programs provided at no cost to young cancer patients and their family members.

“The other lasting benefit of “Hatch’s Giving Tree” is the increased awareness of the foundation itself,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation Family Services Coordinator Abriana Busbee. “We absolutely cherish this experience of seeing the Chattanooga community come together in the season of giving year after year to make a difference in the lives of children and families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis.”

Some local businesses have already begun displaying their respective Hatch’s Giving Tree.  All businesses participating will have their trees displayed starting Nov. 23, continuing through New Year’s Eve. Participating businesses – with locations in downtown Chattanooga, NorthShore, East Brainerd and Signal Mountain – include Amelia’s, Blowout Co., B’s Sweets, Chattanooga Functional Fitness, Dale Buchanan & Associates, EMJ Corporation, Learning Express, Plum Nelly Shoppe, Sandbox Children’s Boutique, Shallowford Family Dental Group, Sophie’s Shoppe and Threads.
