21 Local Children to See Their Names on IMSA Race Cars This Weekend, Live on NBC

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (September 17, 2026) — This weekend, 21 children served by the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer (AHF) will see their names displayed alongside professional drivers on race cars competing in the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The recognition comes through the Resilient Racers program, now in its second year, developed by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) in partnership with AHF and fellow charity partner Camp Boggy Creek. Several of the 21 families will travel to Indianapolis for the race weekend, where they'll tour team garages, meet the drivers and crews paired with their child, and join them for the sport's full-field autograph session.

The race falls during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, part of a partnership between AHF and IMSA that now spans more than a decade.

“The Resilient Racers program is a powerful example of how we merge the world of motorsports with our mission to empower families facing childhood cancer,” said Amy Jo Osborn, CEO and co-founder of the Foundation. “At the Austin Hatcher Foundation, we use racing as a platform to teach resilience, teamwork, and perseverance – qualities that our children and families live out every day. Our partnership with IMSA, which has spanned over a decade, allows us to bring this to life on an incredible stage, connecting the racing community with a cause that truly changes lives.”
