Austin Hatcher Foundation, California Style: Fundraising Auction Scheduled for BUBBA burger Sports C
- Auction Facilitates Expanded Awareness of Foundation’s Battle Against Pediatric Cancer
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 12, 2018) – Serving as an official “Proud Charity” for the International Motorsports Association (IMSA) will afford a special benefit this weekend for the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, with visibility at the famed Long Beach, California street circuit.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation will partner with the Cadillac Corral for a fundraising auction at noon on Saturday, amid the BUBBA burger Sports Car Grand Prix, the third race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. As part of the activities, well-known motorsports-themed artist Bill Patterson will produce a “live” painting to be auctioned. Patterson, known as a “motionsports” artist, is the official artist for WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. He also is a frequent contributor to fundraising events throughout the United States for the Austin Hatcher Foundation.
“The Long Beach race weekend is not only a highlight on the IMSA calendar but on our calendar as well,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “This activation in California allows us a chance to expand visibility and awareness of our mission to erase the effects of pediatric cancer – as does the annual IMSA event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, (Sept. 7-9). Long Beach is an iconic course and we are honored to be part of the race weekend. Cadillac and Bill Patterson are two important partners for us, true friends of the foundation who once again are helping assemble an important fundraiser.”
