Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Adds Two New Staff Members
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 5, 2021) – Two new staff members have joined the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer team.

Murphee McDowell has joined the team as the foundation’s Development Coordinator.
McDowell graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Political Science and Public Service with a concentration in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management. She minored in Child and Family Studies. McDowell also has nonprofit development experience from internships in the Chattanooga area.
“Because I went to UTC, I knew there were several nonprofit organizations in Chattanooga where I could pursue my goals,” said Murphee McDowell. “but when I found the Austin Hatcher Foundation, I could tell it was different, and that’s where I wanted to be. I am more than excited to join this amazing team”
Becky Lyle has joined the team as the foundation’s Patient Navigator.

Lyle graduated from Athens State University with a B.S. in Educational Studies with a minor in Autism. Lyle is also pursuing her master’s degree in School Psychometry beginning in May of this year.
“When I first interacted with the staff at the foundation, I was immediately welcomed into a warm and friendly environment. As a Patient Navigator, I have the unique role to be able to interact with all of our patients and families and make them feel as comfortable as I did on my first visit.” said Becky Lyle. “I am so lucky to have the opportunity to put that practice each day when I walk through the doors.”
