Austin Hatcher Foundation Set for Central Florida Showcase: At-Track Fundraising Auctions During Mob

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2020) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer returns to the famed Sebring International Raceway this weekend to host at-track auctions during Saturday’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the International Motorsports Association’s season-ending event.

Just as Saturday’s 12-hour race is the last event for IMSA in 2020, it is also the foundation’s final motorsports-related fundraiser. As a Proud Charity of IMSA, the foundation attends each race on the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship schedule and hosts at-track fundraising efforts in partnership with race teams and manufacturers. An important result of those auctions is the increased awareness about the Chattanooga-based foundation and its mission to erase the effects of pediatric cancer on young cancer patients and their families.

“We are so honored and grateful that IMSA and its partners have embraced the Austin Hatcher Foundation over the last 10 years,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “The support we receive as a “Proud Charity” impacts the lives of children with cancer and their family on a daily basis.”

On Thursday morning at the Austin Hatcher Foundation tent in the Fan Zone, a special silent auction will begin, with a 5:30 p.m. closing time. The tent will also be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All winning items must be picked up by 8 p.m. Saturday. For those unable to attend the race in-person, virtual bidding is also available at https://one.bidpal.net/sebring20/#. Items can be shipped for those bidding remotely.

At the tent and online, bids may also be placed on an original piece of art by Roger Warrick. The art was created for the March 2020 Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring “Super Sebring” event poster and program cover. Warrick is a longtime producer of artwork used by Sebring International Raceway for posters and program covers.

“We always look forward to Sebring week,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “It’s a huge event, and we always get an incredible amount of assistance from IMSA, its teams and manufacturers. And while we’ll be at the track to raise much-needed funds through our auctions, you can’t overlook the importance of the awareness this event raises as well. We’re able to educate others about the importance of our services, and that’s the real win for us.”
