·            Soccer Game Set for October 11 at 7 p.m. at Lee University

·           Friday Game Last of Three in 2019

CHATTANOOGA, TENN.  (October 7, 2019) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer and the Lee University women’s soccer program will wrap up their tenth annual “Kickin’ It For Kids With Cancer” fundraising initiative on Friday night, as the Lee women’s soccer team hosts Spring Hill College at the Lee Soccer Field in Cleveland, Tennessee.

This will be the last of three Kickin’ It games this year resulting from the Austin Hatcher Foundation’s new relationships with local soccer teams, the Chattanooga Football Club and the Chattanooga Red Wolves. The Austin Hatcher Foundation will have T-shirts on sale at the game to raise funds and awareness of the foundation’s mission to erase the effects of pediatric cancer on young patients and their family members. Presenting sponsors are Winn Smiles and Steam Logistics of Chattanooga.

During the days leading up to the game, a series of fundraising “Spirit Nights” will be hosted by area restaurants with a portion of proceeds being donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation. This week, fundraisers are scheduled for Tuesday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. at Quiznos in Cleveland and on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the Zaxby’s location in Cleveland. Patrons must mention the Austin Hatcher Foundation when purchasing. Spirit Nights were previously hosted by Five Guys, Chick-fil-A, Jenkins Deli, Clumpies, and Dos Bros.

In addition to the dual benefits of raising funds and awareness for the foundation, the Kickin’ It games also serve as a fun, diversionary activity for children and families who the foundation serves in their battle against cancer. Those children will be invited to walk onto the field with players for a special recognition before the game.
