Austin Hatcher Foundation’s 9th Annual ‘Kickin’ It For Kids With Cancer’ Initiative Concludes With L

- Game Prefaced by Five Fundraising ‘Spirit Nights’ at Area Restaurants

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.  (Sept. 17, 2018) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer and the Lee University women’s soccer program will wrap up their ninth annual “Kickin’ It For Kids With Cancer” fundraising initiative on Friday night, as the Lee women’s soccer team hosts Auburn University-Montgomery at the Lee Soccer Field in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The game begins at 7 p.m. and comes on the heels of an ambitious – and successful – series of five special fundraising “Spirit Nights” hosted by area restaurants with a portion of establishment proceeds being donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation. Visitors to the participating restaurants have been urged to wear a “Kickin’ It For Kids With Cancer” t-shirt (available at hatcherfoundation.org). This week, Spirit Nights are scheduled for Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Lupi’s Pizza Pies in Cleveland and Hixson, Tennessee and on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the Zaxby’s location in Cleveland. Patrons must mention the Austin Hatcher Foundation when purchasing. Spirit Nights previously were hosted by Jenkins Deli, Dos Bros and Quizno’s in Cleveland.

The Lee University women’s soccer program is a longtime small-college powerhouse, winning four national NAIA championships before moving to the NCAA Division II level.  Not missing a beat, the Lady Flames have reached the national D-2 tournament three consecutive years.
