While we all find ourselves spending a lot of time at home, how can we maintain a healthy lifestyle for ourselves and our children?
We know it's hard to find healthy, easy homemade snacks that kids will actually enjoy, but these "energy bites" are delicious and kid-friendly for all ages!
Our licensed clinical social worker, Catie Whiting, shows you how she makes these healthy bites below!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed (or any finely grounded nut)
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine oats, chocolate chips, flax seed, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract together in a bowl.
- Form the mix into balls using your hands.
- Arrange energy bites on a baking sheet and freeze until set, about 1 hour.
