Motor City Fundraising: At-Track Auctions to Benefit Austin Hatcher Foundation Scheduled for Chevro
  •  Acura Team Penske, Cadillac Partnering with Foundation on Auctions at Belle Isle Park Circuit

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 29, 2018) – Another round of fundraising auctions with high-end professional sports car racing as the backdrop will benefit the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer on Friday and Saturday, during the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear race weekend hosted by the Raceway at Belle Isle Park.

The grand prix is the fifth race of the 2018 International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) schedule for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The Austin Hatcher Foundation serves as an official “Proud Charity” of IMSA.

The foundation will partner with the Cadillac Corral for silent auctions on Friday and Saturday. Also, on Saturday from 11:15 -11:45 a.m., a fan auction of racing memorabilia by Acura Team Penske will be held at the HPD Transporter, located just over the Huntington Bank Bridge. At-track auctions typically feature race photography/paintings, used sports car parts and other race-related items.

“Detroit is always a high-visibility race weekend, so we are ecstatic about the chance to be involved, interfacing with the race fans,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “And it’s only fitting that for such an important race event, we have major partners like Cadillac and Acura Team Penske helping us spread awareness of the foundation.”
