CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (February 16, 2024) –Teen Ambassadors for the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer will host a pickleball mixer and tournament, the second event in the 2024 Hit it for Hatch fundraiser series presented by Tennessee Oncology, on March 2nd, 2024. This all-age event will take place on the climate-controlled courts of the Maclellan Tennis Center at Chattanooga Christian School. All funds raised will go back to the Foundation’s efforts in erasing the effects of pediatric cancer.

Building on the success of the Hit It for Hatch tennis event in January of 2023, The Teen Ambassadors decided to expand their reach, adding pickleball and beach volleyball tournaments to create a series of events for 2024. Pickleball players can sign up with or without a partner (registrants will be matched with a partner if they do not sign up with one). Each 2-hour flight will include 90 minutes of timed matches in a round-robin style. Competitive players can sign up for the afternoon session which will include pool play leading to bracketed play to crown a winning team.

The 2024 Hit It for Hatch series’ presenting sponsor is Tennessee Oncology. Other sponsors include McCallie School, Talley Construction, Chattanooga Christian School, Sawrie Orthodontics, Little Coyote, Mountain View Ford, XSV Beach, Scenic City Orthodontics, Erlanger Neurosurgery and Spine, and Image Works.

Funds raised through Hit it for Hatch directly impact and provide services for children and families with the tools to cope in the present and thrive in the future after childhood cancer. Families of the foundation are provided with services such as Mental and Behavioral Health Therapy, Occupational Therapy, NeuroPsych Testing, Family Programs, and more at absolutely no cost to them.
