The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Expands Team
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 25, 2022) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation recently expanded their team, adding Shayna Ryan and Rachel Youngblood to their staff and promoting Emily Osborne.
Shayna Ryan has joined the foundation staff as the new Marketing Coordinator.
As Marketing Coordinator, Ryan will support the foundation’s efforts through community engagement, traffic engagement and marketing initiatives. Ryan graduated from Lee University this past May with a B.S in digital media journalism and a B.S. in public relations. She minored in business administration and media writing.
“I am thrilled to begin my post-collegiate career and grow with a foundation that serves families in such a beautiful way,” said Ryan. “Not only am I excited to add my marketing and social media skills to the already dynamic team here, but I am also looking forward to serving the children that come through here and helping this incredible foundation expand.”
Rachel Youngblood has joined the foundation staff as the new Patient Navigator.
As Patient Navigator, Youngblood will greet families as they enter the foundation’s Education Advancement Center, conduct purposeful play and interact with patients. She will also help monitor and organize the foundation’s Electronic Medical Records system and schedules visits for patients. Youngblood received both her bachelor's in psychology and master's in social work from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Youngblood has a background in healthcare administration and organizational development, and she is now pursuing her license in clinical social work.
"When my husband and I decided to settle in our hometown of Chattanooga, I felt an innate desire to serve the community my family has called home for many generations,” said Youngblood. “The Austin Hatcher Foundation made that dream a reality. It is truly a magical place. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity and look forward to learning and growing in such an inspirational environment."
As Youngblood joins the team, previous patient navigator, Emily Osborne, has been promoted to Executive Assistant.
As Executive Assistant, Osborne will work closely with the foundation’s President + CEO to manage schedules and appointments, create proposals and reports, and support partnership efforts. Osborne is currently studying at Middle Tennessee State University to obtain a Master’s of Business Administration with a focus in healthcare management.
