Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer to Break Ground on New $3.2M Education Advancement Ce

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2019) – Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer’s staff, board members, guests, and patients will be celebrating the groundbreaking for the new $3.2 million Education Advancement Center (EAC) and Gallery of Hope at 1601 South Holtzclaw Avenue on Thursday, August 15. This event will also serve as a celebration of the thirteenth birthday of the foundation’s namesake, Austin Hatcher Osborn. Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend groundbreaking ceremonies, and ample parking is available. Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger will serve as the “Guest of Honor.”
The new EAC and Gallery of Hope were made possible by the foundation’s partners including MiKen Development, who contributed one-third of the purchase price of the building. Additional partners are Modus Build, Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects, First Tennessee Bank, and Second Story Properties. The foundation is also working with additional partners to secure new funds for the project.
“We’re excited and grateful for the opportunity to grow the number of therapies and programs we’re able to offer at the new EAC,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “This new space gives us a chance to expand our services, which allows us to support our families even more.”
