Setting Records for a Cause: Austin Hatcher Foundation’s Cars Make History on Bring a Trailer

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Dec. 22, 2025) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer celebrated the successful close of its 2025 Factory Five Type 65 Coupe auction on Bring a Trailer. The Foundation now holds the distinction of building the two highest-selling cars of this model on the platform—sold in 2022 and 2025—reflecting both the craftsmanship behind each build and the strong community support behind the Foundation’s mission.

The 2025 auction concluded Sunday, December 21, at 3:11 p.m. EST after an exciting bidding war that drew 48 total bids and over 35,000 views, underscoring strong enthusiasm for both the vehicle and the mission it supports. The winning bidder from Alexandria, Virginia, secured the meticulously crafted Factory Five Racing Type 65 Coupe following days of competitive bidding from enthusiasts across the country.

Proceeds from the auction will directly support the Foundation’s mission to provide free, comprehensive support to children and families facing pediatric cancer.

Throughout the auction, the car drew strong praise from automotive enthusiasts, commenting:

“Beautiful ride and absolutely amazing organization.”

“I saw this car at the SEMA show last month — it was gorgeous in person

      as well!”

“Excited for the opportunity to bid on such an incredible project and to

      support the Austin Hatcher Foundation.”

The Foundation’s President & CEO, Amy Jo Osborn, said:

“We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who bid, followed along, shared the listing, or simply supported this incredible mission. Know that every dollar truly matters in helping families facing childhood cancer. Your support fuels hope, healing, and access to critical care—when families need it most.

If this car spoke to you but bidding wasn’t the right fit, you can still make a meaningful impact. Donations of any amount can be made at hatcherfoundation.org/donate. Thank you for believing in the mission and for standing with the families we serve. Together, we are driving change.”

The Austin Hatcher Foundation extends sincere thanks to the partners whose generosity and expertise made the 2025 Type 65 Coupe build possible:
