CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 25, 2025) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer’s Teen Ambassadors will host their second annual Hit It for Hatch: Sand Volleyball Tournament, presented by Tennessee Oncology, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at XSV Volleyball in Hixson, Tennessee. The all-day event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 2705 Kanasita Drive.

This family-friendly tournament is part of the larger “Hit It for Hatch” fundraising series, developed by Teen Ambassadors to raise awareness and funds for the Foundation’s mission to erase the effects of pediatric cancer.

Teams of four can register for $160 per team, with morning pool play leading into a single-elimination bracket in the afternoon. A variety of refreshments and merchandise will be available throughout the day, and all registered players will enjoy a free lunch provided during the midday break.

Event Schedule (Tentative)
  • 8:30 AM: Player Check-In
  • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Pool Play
    12:00 PM: Free Lunch for Players
  • 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Bracket Play and Championship

The Austin Hatcher Foundation Teen Ambassador Program (TAP) empowers high school students to engage directly with patient families, volunteer at events, and advocate for those affected by pediatric cancer. The Hit It for Hatch series—founded by teen ambassadors with a shared passion for sports—provides a fun, active way for youth and families to make a meaningful impact in their community.

Proceeds from the tournament will support the Foundation’s free services, including mental health therapy, occupational therapy, family counseling, academic support, and more for families facing the challenges of childhood cancer.
