  • Event Sponsored by Cigna

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 29, 2019) – The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer will host its “Back to School Family Picnic” on Saturday at the East Ridge Community Center, for all children and their family members currently involved in the foundation’s programs and services.

The event – to be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. – is also open to families in the region who are affected by childhood cancer and looking to become involved with the foundation’s array of innovative programs, which are provided at no cost and headquartered at the Education Advancement Center in downtown Chattanooga. The annual picnic is typically held in the fall but has been switched to August this year, with Cigna returning as the event sponsor. The East Ridge Community Center is located at 1517 Tombras Ave. in East Ridge.

“We will have food, drinks, games, activities and door prizes thanks in large part to our sponsorship assistance from Cigna,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “The children and families who benefit from our programs are all part of the larger ‘Foundation Family.’ At the picnic, we will celebrate that family, the challenges that we have met together – and the battles won. But more than anything, we will be having fun.”
