With Mtn. View Auto Group, OMIX-ADA, Truck ‘N Trailers USA on Fundraising Initiative
- Mtn. View Donating New Jeep that Will Be Modified, Auctioned in 2019
- Young Cancer Patients and Their Families Will Participate in Jeep Build-out
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan. 3, 2018) – With the assistance of several key partners, the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer is starting 2018 with the latest in a series of unique fundraising initiatives that will also increase awareness of the foundation both regionally and nationally.
The initiative starts with invaluable help from a longtime friend of the foundation – Mt. View Auto Group in Chattanooga. That organization has donated a new 2017 Jeep Wrangler that will undergo considerable modifications to prepare it for a series of foundation-related appearances this year.
All parts for the project are being donated by Omix-ADA, the world’s largest independent manufacturer and wholesale-only company with a full line of Jeep parts and accessories. Omix-ADA is based in Suwanee, Georgia and has been a longtime supporter of the SEMA Cares family of charities, which includes the Austin Hatcher Foundation.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation has used other automobile build-outs in the past to raise money, but this one has a unique twist. Young cancer patients and their family members in the Chattanooga area who benefit from the foundation’s free services will participate in modifying the Jeep. Truck ‘N Trailers USA in Chattanooga (4575 Pinnacle Lane Chattanooga, TN 37415) will host the build-out, which is underway with a completion targeted for June.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation along with OMIX ADA will use this vehicle as a marketing tool with a the last being displayed at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in the OMIX ADA booth on Oct. 20-Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Following that huge showcase opportunity, the Jeep will be auctioned in 2019 at an event still to be determined.
“Seeing this project come to fruition is a fantastic way to start the new year,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “As with so many of our initiatives, both the origins and successes are tied to partnerships in Chattanooga and Tri-State region. Many times, as with this initiative, those locaI ties then enable expanded national awareness and support of our mission to erase the effects of pediatric cancer.
“Having the children and families that we assist getting involved in actually modifying the Jeep makes this project all the more special. This is really going to fun to see that involvement and watch the Jeep being transformed.”
