Healthy Lifestyle Recipes: No-Bake Power Balls

As a caregiver navigating childhood cancer, it can be hard to find healthy, simple snacks that your kids will enjoy. These homemade "power balls" are delicious and kid-friendly for all ages!
Take them to your next appointment, on a road trip, or pack them in school lunches for easy, on-the-go snacking. If your child is in active treatment, you can make them right there at the hospital as a fun, distraction activity (no baking required).

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup ground flax seed (or any finely grounded nut)
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine oats, chocolate chips, flax seed, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract together in a bowl.
- Form the mix into balls using your hands.
- Arrange energy bites on a baking sheet and freeze until set, about 1 hour.
