- Blue Sky Couriers Donated One Penny Per Mile Driven to Foundation
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (June 19, 2020) – Blue Sky Couriers, a logistics company serving the Greater Chattanooga region, donated a penny for every mile driven during the first quarter of 2020 to the Austin Hatcher Foundation. This is part of the company’s ‘Couriers for Kids’ program, which donates each quarter to a different nonprofit focused on children’s health.
After driving more than 68,000 miles in the first quarter, Blue Sky Couriers was able to donate a total of $713.77 on June 8, 2020 to support the foundation’s mission to erase the effects of childhood cancer.
“The Austin Hatcher Foundation is so thankful for our friends at Blue Sky Couriers. Through the donations and support from the ‘Couriers for Kids’ Program, we are able to continue offering our free therapies and services that we offer to families faced with childhood cancer,” said Austin Hatcher Foundation President Amy Jo Osborn. “We look forward to working with Blue Sky Couriers again in the future.”
“Childhood healthcare is an important cause we focus on through ‘Couriers for Kids’, and the services that the Austin Hatcher Foundation offers are very much necessary for these families. We’re so glad we could partner with the foundation to help further those services,” said Kevin Beirne, Chattanooga Regional Manager, Blue Sky Couriers.
